Our Garden (boxes)

At the advice of Jimmy, my son and I planted a couple window boxes.  We planted short carrots and radishes.  I bought two window boxes, potting soil, miracle grow garden dirt and seeds.  Sunday (Almost a week ago) we planted.

The potting soil was more like mud.  I put that on the bottom of the two window boxes and added the miracle grow on the top.  Little Man put the seeds in and we watered them.  As of Friday evening, we had little buds.  Pictures to come later.

Can’t wait to see. My husband is down buying supplies for a raised garden bed. He’s also buying some pettunias for me to plant in a container on the front step.

The second best part of gardening after eating your tasty vegetables is watching the young tender plants breaking the soil line.

It’s so fun to plant seeds with the kids. We did the same about two weeks ago but unexpected frost the other night probably did the poor little sprouts in! Happy Mother’s Day!
